Disney Expectations?

I was just reading an article on cruise critic about Royal Caribbean Navigator of the seas and actually what caught my eye were the comments about cruising.

Nickel/diming and up selling every thing.
Quality of the shows has greatly diminished.
lousy customer service
Ships built just to squeeze in more bodies.
prices are ridiculous now and becoming unaffordable.

LOL, I had to check and make sure I had not inadvertently stumbled here. Now this was just on the Royal Caribbean forum.

My question is this, are our expectations for the Mouseworld out of sync with reality ? Is today's consumers different? I know we don't like to compare Disneyword to other vacation entities but it was just really interesting to hear the same gripes almost verbatim.

For folks who visit the Disney parks regularly, your expectations are NOT out of sync with reality .

Its just the folks who visit the Disney parks regularly, notice when prices go up and offerings go down, notice when there are more hard ticket events, notice when there are more hard ticket events INSIDE hard ticket events.

The one time visitor, or the very infrequent visitor does not not notice this.

Yes.. all over people have become so much more demanding and harder to please. Disney trips arent any different. Times have changed where so many people are voicing/posting complaints online because it gives them a voice and easier access to spread their displeasure to others. They want to hurt the business more than get compensation. Now people are more likely to complain than give positive comments online.
