We are headed down to WDW in a few days and I received and email survey from Disney yesterday. The first few questions were pretty standard, i.e, Which resort are you staying at, How many days, blah, blah, blah......
After that it was basically 100% about the morning EMH they are doing at HS for July and August. For anybody who is unaware, Hollywood Studios will have morning EMH everyday of the month for July an August. With TSL opening I am sure they are trying to gather as much information as possible and how influential the additional EMH is for guests. I answered the questions the best way possible to give the impression that I am all in favor of more EMH but the survey (as with most Disney surveys) asks the same question in so many different forms that it feels they can extrapolate the data to from whatever conclusion they want.
Questions such as, "Had you already planned your trip before learning of the HS EMH?" Which I answered, "yes". Followed by, "If HS EMH was not available, would you still be planning to visit WDW? Which the answer is obviously , yes. A few questions later I got, "How many days were you planning on visiting the WDW theme parks during your stay?" I answered, 7, which is how many days we are staying (whic the survey had already asked). Next question was, "If HS EMH was not available during your stay, how many days would you plan to visit WDW theme parks?" Again, the answer was 7 since we had already planned our trip before learning of HS EMH.
There were several other questions in regards to how many days we planned to specifically visit HS. The issue I have is that we do not plan every day of the trip and even the days we do plan for are sometimes altered for various reasons. The survey does not allow you answer in any form other than the choices they offer, or entering a number.
:
If it allowed an option for "not sure" or something along those lines, I would choose it, but it does not. So either I can answer a specific number which could (and probly will) change once we are there, or simply not continue with the survey.
Does Disney take into account that the data could be skewed due to the very specific nature of questions and allowable answers? And please understanding I am not complaining. Just curious about how they use and interpret the data they collect. Is it to enhance gusest experience? Is it for simply showing the BoD that they are performing as needed? Both? None?
