Yes you use your key to the world card for the dining plan. Everytime you use the card for a table service, counter service, or snack the receipt will show how many you have remaining for that category so it is very easy to keep track of.

It is a TON of food, desert included with both table and counter - wow. I thought it was definitely worth the money but you have to make sure that you use all of your table services to make it so. You will need reservations, we made them the day before since we wanted to be able to plan our days as we went.

You can also use them in any order, if you wanted to have 2 table service meals for 3 days in a row you can do that. The only drawback IMO was the amount of food, even with all the walking I think I gained 10 pounds.

The way we worked the dining plan was to have breakfast at the food court each morning which used our counter service for the day (breakfast included the meal, beverage and pastry). I had booked all our evening dinner ressie's way in advance, you should get on that right away because the most popular placed book up early like Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace to name a few. The way I judged what park we were going to be at in the evening was by doing an excel spreadsheet listing the parks down the left hand side with parades and fireworks under each, and rows for emh's and PS's ressies. I then decided whether or not we'd be at a particular park based on evening emh's and planned accordingly. If you would like a copy of the type of spreadsheet I used, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it along.
