Hi there folks,
We are going to be staying at Disney's Port Orlean's French Quarter later on next year, including in our holiday package we get the quick service dining plan.
I was wondering if we could hold onto some quick service points in order for us to dine at a table service restauant.
Ie - can we save points up to go to a charcater meal etc ?

Does anyone know how many quick service points you need for one character meal?
Points value for each type of service... ie - Snack point.
Quick service meal point.
Table Service meal point??????

Cheers everyone.

As far as I know, any sit down meal (including Character meals) are 1 table service credit each, with the exception of CRT, which is 2.

You can not transfer points. A TS credit must be used for a TS meal, a CS credit must be used for a CS meal. and snack credits can only be used on snacks. On occasion during free dining, Disney has allowed you to use a TS credit for a CS meal but they have never gone in the other direction.

We had the quick service dining plan for the first time in January, we have always had the regular dining plan. My opinion is that I would pay the extra to upgrade to the regular dining plan. We enjoy having one of our meals be a table service so we paid out of pocket for a bunch of table services, it would have been cheaper if we upgraded. We were also stuck with a bunch of quick service and snacks because we had the table services, so the last day we stocked up from the food court for our car ride home. I LOVE the DDP, but I will never do the quick service one again.

Well said. We pay to upgrade to table service. I think it was only like $300 more and for four people over 8 nights, that's a bargain.

Most table service restaurants are 1 credit, but there are a few that are two:

Jiko, Flying Fish, California Grill, Citricos, Narcoossee's, Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Cinderella's Royal Table, Le Cellier (dinner only), Brown Derby.

If I'm not mistaken, only the deluxe plan allows you the choice of using your meal credits for either CS or TS, but you cannot save up snack credits in exchange for another meal credit.

You cannot use any amount of QS points to equal a TS point unfortunately. On some rare occasions locations will let you trade down points. For example you can use a TS for a QS or a QS for a snack. I also suggest upgrading to the regular dining plan if you plan to eat in the TS restaurants. It'll be worth it, IMO.

Right, the deluxe plan just has meal credits. You can use them for either Table or Counter Serve because they are the same credits in that plan.

I am travelling to WDW with Virgin from the UK and I upgraded my DDP no problem, I think it was an extra £8.00 a day per person that I paid when I booked last year so it may be more now but I thought it was worth it, I like to have one TS meal a day and not just eat CS.
