I wrote this idea to Disney last year, sadly got no reply:cry:. I had the idea of Disney favorites on shirts and the shirts look/are a White T-shirt with a outline of the various farorites such as Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie and as soon as you step into the sun, like magic Color appears on the shirt and the outlines have their famous colors. Or another idea would be the Haunted Mansion with the a doombuggy then in the sunlight the three hitch hiking ghost appear, they disappear indoors. You get the general idea. Here's a link to Delsol so you idea what i'm talking about. www.Delsol.com I don't work for either company, but I own a few Delsol products and thought the two would be a cool combo for guests looking for something different.

Actually, they have used this technology in the past. When DAK first opened, I purchased a shirt at the gift shop at Raffiki's Planet Watch that starts as black and white, but when exposed to sunlight, becomes colored. Two years ago, DD bought a t-shirt at the Dinosaur gift shop that has (what else) a dinosaur on the front, and when exposed to sunlight, it becomes a dinosaur SKELETON. I'm not sure why they don't use it more...maybe too expensive?? I do know that frequent washing/drying will cause the effects to diminish (which is why I use cold water and mild detergent to wash and then line dry these items).

My mom bought a shirt in WDW at least 5 or 6 years ago with this technology (it still "worked" until about a year ago - now it's permanently colored strangely).

It had several characters from the movie drawn on it, and when she went into the sun the characters became colored. My mom has a bunch of old WDW shirts that she only wears when we go to WDW or DL. They look brand new (including her shirt from the 25th with the regular castle on one side and the cake on the other...she always gets comments from CMs about that one).

Ah yes I remember an era of shirts like that..It was Called Hypercolor shirts I had a cool one that was dark blue and it turned light neon green when the sun hit the shirt. Good times..Good times.
