hey guys! me and dbf are still trying to plan our vacation for next year, we are both going to be 19 and university students at the time so money is failry tight though i have been saving! We are looking at going in may and cant decide if we should do the land and sea package. We were looking at 4 days on land and 2 days at sea package. We were reading and it comes with a 7 day park hopper so depending on money we would like to have 7 days before the cruise at the world. the four days leading up to the crusie would be at the moderate or delux resort included in the package but the other days would be in a value to save money.. Just looking for any comments about the disney cruise.. is it fun for two 19 year olds or is it more geared towards families and we should stick at wdw for the whole trip?

Kasey,

DCL is definitely geared toward families. I don't think there's any way to get around that. HOWEVER, there are plenty of adult activities as well as a full week of teen-oriented activities.

The adult activities at night are pretty varied with a "house band", a piano bar and a sports bar on Beat Street (or Rt. 66, depending which ship you take). There are also cooking demonstrations, if you like that sort of thing; and wine tastings. There is the "Navigator Series" of tours/lectures which are very interesting.

I've never done any of the teen activities, and my daughter is only 11, so I can't really tell you if they're the kind of thing you'd like.

But I can tell you that on each cruise I've been on (6 of them now), I've met people who sail without children and they have plenty to do, apparently.

I'm not sure if any of that helps you or not. Hope you have fun, whatever you choose. :)

You'll still enjoy the DCL, espically the dining and entertainment. I'd double check about the 7 day ticket, it's probally available, but a 4 day ticket is what is probally comes with. Also, There is no 2 day cruise. It's a 3 night or 4 night. Considering you are spending 4 on land, 3 would be at sea. You would leave early thursday for the cruise and return to OIA Sunday.

Hope this Helps!

sorry about that i miss typed! 4 days on land and 3 days at sea is what we are looking at! also does any one know how the transportation works? ive seen the disney cruise line busses at orlando airport does it work like magical express? (ie:take you to your disney resort, pick you up from your disney resort and take you to the ship then back to either a disney resort or airport at the end of your cruse??)
