Has anyone ever been to/had a Disney Cruise Line Wedding? I'm thinking about it and information/pictures are impossible to find. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We did a vow renewal package for our 10th anniversary on the DCL. It was great. Captain performed the ceremony. DCL provided everything. We had our own personal valet for the entire cruise to set up all our reservations and tend to our needs. It was amazing how we got into things that were "full".

We had "gifts" (I know we paid for them in the vow renewal price), if our cabin every day and they really made a big deal out of it. I have sompe pictures I could post if you would like. Tell me what you want to see and I will see if I have a photo. They provided the cake, drinks, etc.

My niece is getting married on Castaway Cay Sept. 13th. I can give more information after that time. Also, I'm sure if you contact Disney directly they will send you information.

Thank you both. I have talked with Disney but all they really told me was that you get married my a Bahemian Official and the ceremony takes place on the adult side of Castaway Cay in what is later in the day the bar.

I would love to see a picture of the ceremony site and the flowers and cake.

I am hoping to get married there next October.

Our vow renewal took place on the ship in the Cadillac lounge. The ships captain performed the cerimony. I'll be glad to email or post some pictures. Except I have no idea how to post pictures on this board!:veryconfu

How funny that the Captain can perform a vowel renewal ceremony but can't perform a wedding ceremony. For weddings they bring in a person for the Bahamas.

My dream wedding would be on Castaway, with only my family and his family...right on the beach. That would be a wonderful wedding!

They told us the same thing. But the Captain performed the ceremony. Initially, a minister was going to perform the ceremony but...

And apparently, a vow renewal has some legal standing as they would not perform the ceremony without first reviewing a copy of our marrage license.

Look at all the stuff I am learning. Hmm, so they told you someone from the Bahamas would re-marry you. Well, having the Captain maary you is much more unique than some person from the Bahamas.

It was actually sort of comical. The captain had a very strong Euorpean accent. Norwegin or something li9ke that. When he would do the "repeat after me's," he would say like seven sentences in his thick accent and my wife and I would look at each other and go, "Yeah, Right! Want to slow it down a little buddy?" Neither of us really have a clue what he said. We just repeated what ever we though he said because you could get the first part but by the time you were 45 seconds or so into it you just had no clue. It was one of those thing that we will always remember.

A vow renewal is a sentimental ceremony, not a legal one. Anyone can do it. You are already Legally married. To be married(legally) you have to follow the laws of the country you are in. I'm liking the idea of a beachfront ceremony...very romantic. Would love to see pics from the Sept 13 wedding when they are available.
