Disney Rewards Credit Card

My Disney Rewards Credit Card is issued through Chase Card Services, they can be found on the web. As to whether or not they issue in the UK, I cannot begin to guess but that is where I would start. Good Luck:)

When the cards came outr originally, they did not issue to those in the UK. The bank holding the card has changed though, so that policy may have changed. Try going to the Chase site and see if they will issue one.

i believe you must have an american bank account in order to apply for a disney credit card.

It's not fair as i too would love a disney credit card in my wallet.

BTW, I don't think you should ever think that Disney "hates" you guys in the UK. I'm sure it is a common knowledge that Disney depends very heavily on visitors overseas, especially from the UK. When there were proposals to require a visa for UK citizens, I think Disney was one of the companies that voiced their opinion against it.

Without UK visitors, many attractions in the US, and especially WDW, would be in serious trouble. I'm not affiliated with any tourism organization, nor with WDW, but if it needs to be said explicitly, I'll say it: To all our UK visitors, WELCOME! We are very glad that you are here!"

Being Canadian I'm used to not getting what the US gets...living 1 mile away from Detroit makes it hurt even more! When we go shopping over there the amount of brands, products, restaruants, stores, etc. compared to Canada boggles the mind. And of course when we do have the same products it's always at least 1.5x more expensive in Canada...plus more tax!

Here's something that you are also not getting but will cheer you up - the crime rate in Detroit!

I copied this from the Chase website www.chase.com.

"Disney Rewards Visa Card available to U.S. residents only, 18 and older (19 in AL and NE), and subject to credit approval. Disney Rewards Visa Card is issued by Chase Bank USA, N.A. and may be serviced by its affiliates."

I'm sure it must have something to do with banking laws and not a decision of TWDC, but I don't know if there is a UK bank that offers something similar.

Best of luck to you.

Amen to that.. I live in Windsor too and it just sucks that we get the short end of the stick... But I will always put up with it just to live in Canada.. I too looked into the Disney Credit Card, but I will just have to find other ways to get a cheaper trip and discounts......

However, here's something that you may want to consider. You really do not get a THAT MUCH in return by using the Disney Visa cards. Most of the time, it is just 1% of your purchases. There are occasional offers where you can get 3% or 5% Disney Rewards dollars if you buy certain things, but other than that, it accumulates rather slowly.

If you have Discover or some other credit cards that gives you 5% cash back on certain purchases, you have a lot more opportunity to get the more money back that you can equate to actual money to spend at WDW.

I use my Disney Visa card only when there's something to be gained from it, or when it is required (such as to buy stuff on Disney Shopping to get my discounts or buying Disney Visa Cardmember exclusive pins and character greetings). But other than those, I very seldom use it. The one time that I did use it and got huge Disney Reward Dollars was when I put down our downpayment for when we purchased a DVC. That and other purchases gave me close to $200 Disney Reward Dollars that I used to take friends out to dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace. :)
