Report: Disney Considering Spinning Off ESPN
The Walt Disney Company has made plenty of notable changes to ESPN over the past few weeks, but those would pale in comparison to a potential change reported

Disney has been pretty vocal about wanting to stay out of the gambling industry. This is an interesting subject. I can see both sides. ESPN is very profitable and could become extremely profitable again is they worked more closely with sports betting. Personally I would love to see WDW work with the Florida Seminal Indians and add a sports betting operation and casino over in the Flamingo Crossing Area. They could even move ESPN from CT to Florida and use the land they already own and build a wonderful complex for sports betting, a casino and television broadcasting.
With sports betting in the USA a $4B industry, even Disney ( ESPN ) could see getting into that type of action. This is an interesting subject. I can see both sides. I know that under Iger they were vocal about staying out of gambling. However he is gone now. Chapeck may not last long either. So expect more changes in the near future and based on financial interest and profits things to change. The company should keep TV and Movie production in California but move everything else to Florida and what is wrong with gambling as long as it's kept away from the parks.Disney has been pretty vocal about wanting to stay out of the gambling industry.
