Disney College

Hey everybody! I was just wondering where I could find any information on the Disney Art College. I think someone has told me that there are two schools, one in Georgia and the other in Californina. I was just wondering, I wouldn't ever go there, it's too far away from home, but I do want to become an animator.

I'm probally going to be found wrong by Josh or Dan but I think the "Disney Art College" that you are refering to in Cali is CalArts in Valencia seeing how Walt was (I think) involved in it.

Yea Calarts was created by Disney (California Institute of the Arts). I tried out for there in the animation department...did not get in. It is extremely difficult to get accepted so if you do I applaud you! Good luck if you apply

Does anyone know of the website for the Disney College? I was interested to see if they had a film program?

Um.. *points up to the other posts* I thought we discussed that there really is NOT a "Disney College"....

They were probally thinking of SCAD (Savanah College of Art and Design) in Georgia and CalArts here in California. Neither of them are run by disney although CalArts DOES have a slight affiliation with Disney.

hee hee...i never said that it was a Disney College :lookaroun BUT Disney founded that college and Roy Disney donates a lot of money...especially to their new theater REDCAT. Anyways if you are interested the website is www.calarts.edu...or at least i think it is (i havent been on it since ive been rejected oh well)

I haven't been that ... um.. favorable to CalArts since I was rejected from their CSSSA Writing program 3 times in a row and because they don't have a regular creative writing program that I could apply to I couldn't go there for my undergrad. (CSSSA = California State Summer School for the Arts.. highly competitive.. and if you are in Cali or REALLY great at what you do in the arts I highly recommend applying cause if you CAN get in.. trust me you will love it. I've had friends that have done the Theatre program..)

And I just found out they have an MFA program in Writing.. woohoo...... something to consider for after undergrad .
