Disney College Program in Disneyland?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody has ever participated in the WDWCP in Disneyland? I did the one in Orlando in 2007 and alas I want to try California living since I'm graduating in May. What better way to experience it than at Disneyland? I've never been to California (I'm from VA) and was wondering about the pros/cons about it in Cali?? Would y'all recommend it?

I'd appreciate any stories/tips/etc you have about the WDWCP @ Disneyland! :)

I was able to participate in the Disneyland CP in fall of 2008 and I loved it! I would imagine it would be very similar to the WDW CP, just in Disneyland. I really liked the coordinators there, and the whole program is very fun. It would be great for your first Disneyland experience to be when you are working there, as i'm sure you've hear, there is a world of difference between DL and WDW, despite their incredible similarities.
I say go for it, and just take the same attitude with you when you did the program in Florida. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks! I have a few..

--I know the program is smaller in CA, do u think my roommate and I will have a good shot at getting accepted?

--What was your role?

--I have my interview tomorrow and my roommate has hers Tuesday. Do u have any tips?

--How many housing complexes do they have?? What's the chances of getting a place to stay offered to us by Disney?

Thanks!

I know that they have been cutting down the programs size in the last year, but I'm not sure how much exactly. I had two friends apply for this spring and one was accepted...the other not.

I was an attractions host, and I mostly worked on The Haunted Mansion and sometimes the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Well, since you've already done the program before, I would imagine you know exactly what they want to hear. Just remeber the SERVICE model-they won't ask for this specifically but it will give you some good recognition. Smile, Eye contact, Respect, Value the magic, Initiate guest contact, Create service solutions, and end with a thank you.
I've really enjoyed all my interviews with Disney, so just relax and have fun during it. Let them know you understand what the company expects and why you want to do the program.

They have one large housing complex, and generally as long as you can arrive by an earlier date, then you can get in. My friend got into housing no problem this sping.

I hope this has helped! Best of luck in your interview!

Hours are not guaranteed like WDW CP and you will have to join and pay union fees.

I'm having trouble remembering how rent is handled. I think you pay for most--if not all of it-- up front. Can somebody help me out with this one?
