Hello,

I'm interested in auditioning for a job as a Disney character. If you're a fully costumed character do you have to abide by the Disney image rules? I'm a male with longer hair that I'd rather not cut if I don't have to. I don't see why it would be an issue since nobody would ever see my hair, but Disney is Disney and they have a lot of rules!

Yes, you have to fit the Disney Look rules. Even if you are a fur character & completely covered, there's a chance you could get trained in a parade for which you wouldn't be a character. It doesn't happen too often, but I have heard of character performers acting as character attendants. Also for character performers, they have to go through Traditions & some other training classes before they start being trained in costume & for those you have to be with Disney Look guidlines.
