Wdwfanatic, this is a great idea and i think a Disney Channel 2 would be awesome! To take it a step further, what if during the morning and day hours, program exactly what you explained above... older cartoons and kids programming. Then, for the primetime hours throw on some of the adult-geared programming, or some of the Travel Channel shows, Disney documentaries (ie Modern Marvels).

The idea has been thrown around before, and although I would be an addict to this channel, this will never come about due to one thing......$$$$$

Disney would not make a profit off of a channel like this, other wise they would have started this channel a long, long time ago.

Perfect example as to why the station would not make money is "TV LAND"...When this channel first started you had old time programming that took us back to the 50's, 60's and 70's. It truly was the channel to see old time programming.

Now look at TV Land today. Yes, there are SOME old time programming left, however it is now compiled of nothing but post 2000 sitcoms and reality TV programming, as well as original shows like "Hot In Cleveland". These shows drive income from advertising dollars, and its sad to say, but this IS a business.

I propose this...Make this show you are proposing an "ON DEMAND" option available for download, one episode at a time. An Apple store for Disney if you will. This will guarantee Disney's profits with little investment on there end of the spectrum, and will give new and old generations quality programming one download at a time. Are you listening Bob Iger?

i know it'll never happen but it would be great if it did. Iger already came out and said when he took over, basically that disney won't do anything unless there is plenty of money to be made.:sohappy:
