Disney CareerStart Program

Interesting... basically it's the college program minus the college part. The cynic in me says that it's more due to a serious shortage of people willing to work for $6.25/ hour than any sort of altruistic "let's help kids after high school start their career initiative. None-the-less, sounds like a good deal for anyone who wants to work for Disney that isn't in college.

Thread drift... Just saw that you'll be doing the CP soon. You're in luck. They just changed the rate to $6.40/hour. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on here or AIM.

That's awesome, well, sorta. I guess I'll take whatever I can get. Thanks for the info!

I like the idea

It's CP without having to be in college. I am "taking time off" from college right now so technically I can't do another CP...BUT with this program...I CAN!!! Plus it looks like you get to live in housing just like the CPs do (same complexes too). Which means CP numbers must be declining b/c when I did the program back in 2003-2004 Vista, Chatham AND Commons were all full. If I wouldn't have just landed a great job...I'd think about doing this....

Qsf&b

I worked OT doing QSF&B and I've never worked "fast food" before, and it actually wasn't that bad. Some QSF&B positions are great (working at Cirque for example) and some would SUCK...but, it's a job...not a vacation!!

Unfortunately, I refuse to ever work fast food in this lifetime.
