Disney California Vs. Disney Florida
"As far as politics go [in Orlando's Feature Animation studio]... Things are MUCH better off," concludes 'Sir Farticus'. "Disney California has just issued a statement saying that they are going to let go 90 of the 96 clean-up artist they have at the studio after production is done of Sweating Bullets. The studio (in California) is preparing to revamp as a CG house. They have closed down the Northside studio, and moved the very few left there over to the southside building. As far as Florida goes, the lay-offs have not really affected that studio as much. It is a nice environment. They are very much away from all the politics in CA. It's a tight nit group of people, very family oriented, and in my opinion they create more creatively fulfilling work. Lilo came completely from them! anyhow, to the point... Lilo was a hit obviously, if Bears does well that will determine what kind of feature they will make next after My Peoples: CG, or traditional. If the go with traditional, it will definitely be a hybrid film but still keeping traditional alive."
