Does anyone know what the name of the font is that they used for the "California" part of their new logo? I want to use it for something, and it's driving me bonkers! I can't seem to find out what it's called anywhere!

The Mickey font is close, but it's very distorted. This font I found is called "Market Deco". It's definitely not the same same, but it is close. There's also "Minnie".

No report back from the font geeks, but I will keep monitoring the thread on my logos/design forum.

Not a problem! I do post on a design/sports logos forum, so I'm a big nerd; it was fun going on a scavenger hunt.

Looking at it with my "morning eyes", that "Minnie" font is a version of a "Mickey" font from the same site. Mickey has hollow letters, which might make it easier if you're trying to put in a gradient like in the logo, but it also has really big drop shadows that sort of change the shape of the letters to my eyes. Here's another one like Market Deco, Mouse Deco. You can see the way the letters are constructed is going in the right direction(especially the N), but it doesn't have that big fat blocky feel.
