We have a family Vacation to Disney World, December 2020...Myself, wife and two grandchildren will be traveling...We have booked a Room at the Boardwalk Inn for the trip...I normally rent two scootors for my wife and myself while there... We have never stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, this would be the first time staying at this Hotel....My Question is....Have you stayed here before..... is it a nice Hotel...Is it easy for folks our age (70) to get around on the Scootors... and to all the different Parks ?? Thanks, Aucoin's from Louisiana !

Stayed there for the first time last year and it's a new favorite for me. Lots to do within a short walk or scooting distance. Very classy theming and overall mood is pretty relaxing considering how close it is to everything else. Very easy access to EPCOT and Studios and relatively quick bus rides to MK, AK, and DTD but there is no shortage of things to do onproperty. The main lobby is actually upstairs from the Promenade level and there is only one bank of elevators on the Inn side so getting from the Boardwalk level to a bus or to the main lobby entails the stairs or elevator.
Our only complaints were specific to our visit- our room was at the end of a long hallway, which at the Boardwalk means we were about 500 feet from the elevator bank. Our room was also closest to EPCOT Resorts Boulevard so we had some traffic noise- couldn''t hear much with the sliding door closed, though.

You are not kidding. Our room was at the very end of a long hallway and from the furthest part of the parking lot walking all the way to the hotel room, I thought we were speed walking training for a 5k race.

Have stayed there several times. Main difficulty is that the rooms are at a higher level than the Boardwalk so you always have to use the elevators if in a wheelchair - they can sometimes be quite a way away. Worth remembering that a Disney bus can take at most two scooters/wheelchairs. I think this is the same for the boats that go between Epcot and HS via the Boardwalk.

We stayed there for the first time this past Labor Day weekend. Nice hotel but definitely get the scooters. We were at the very end of the wing and it measured from google maps it was 600 feet from the lobby to our room, a major bummer when walking back from Epcot. I have no idea why they didn't make any doors that lead out to the boardwalk from the Inn. We'd stay there again but prefer YC/BC.

I think we must have stayed in the same room. At least we had a really nice view of illuminations from our standard room balcony.

Welcome Home!

We've stayed at the Boardwalk a number of times, both the Inn and the Villas, starting in 2012, and most recently in July.

Like everyone else who has commented so far, the hallways are endless. I swear, we've stayed in rooms ending in "01" so many times, it's become an expectation. After running around the parks all day, knowing that long walk is still ahead of you is definitely the worst part. And I also agree, it seems short-sighted of Disney to not have created more exits out to the actual boardwalk.

But those are the only two real "minuses" for this hotel, for us. The boardwalk area is so beautiful and I would really suggest planning to spend a little time there one evening. The entertainers are fun and very kid-friendly, and there's a movie on the lawn at night. Across the lake is the Beach Club, and you can check out their movie and activities too, all for free.

You can also walk to Epcot and come in through the International Gateway. Up to now, this has been my very favorite part of staying there, as it always felt like a "private" entrance. However, with the Skyliners now running, I know that will definitely change, and not for the better.

Everything is accessible by scooter, including the buses, water taxis, and Skyliners.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful, magical time!
