im sure this has been discussed before but

When its your last night on vacation and you know you wont be back for a while and you got school to go back home to, that is the disney blues

yuk especially when you get home and see your house a mess from when you were packing to go and when it was all ahead of you.

for me i usually stay from sat night to sat night, I start getting depressed by tuesday night, yes it might sound sick but its true.

I go to each park once, say i go to mk on sunday, when i am leaving i get depressed because i wont be back at mk for a long time.

see where i live i dont get back and forth to disney much, i go about twice a year.

people that live in orlando proly dont have this problem

does anyone else get this????????

I agree. Last weekend we were able to sneak in a three day trip and it went by so fast. I can't wait until we get to go back for another week. The Disney blues set in for me the first day knowing that I only had two more days there.

I'll never forget when it was our last day in our June 2001 and my family and I were on the Mears bus going to the airport, and the bus driver announced "We're now leaving the Disney property"...talk about pouring salt into an open wound! I actually started to cry

Oh I know just what you mean. I am happy to hear we are not the only people who feel that way. Even when I look back at the pictures from the last day I remeber how I felt.

On the other hand there the opposite is also true. How great it feels to get there on the frist day. After check in we love to explore the resort, turn on the Disney preview channel (Zip a de do da tip for today) and look over the resort newsletter. No matter if you go to the park or just hang out, that first day feeling is the best. :sohappy:

nWo....what does your comment have to do with leaving sad? This thread is intended for people to reminisce about how they feel sad when they leave disney because they won't be back for a long time. I had hope in your post at first, because you talked about how you used to feel sad.

If you hate disney so much, and have outgrown it, why do you continue to buy annual passes? If you think it's for kids, simply don't go. That's one less person ahead of me in line when I go back.

Now, I know you're a big Universal guy, mostly because you feel like it's more geared towards you. WDW works to challenge your imagination and make you think and learn and feel. Universal just says "here's a story, it won't teach you anything, but dammit, we can build a fast roller coaster".

Just seems to me that if you're going to come here and try to rip apart the things that make disney special for all of us, you've come to the wrong place, because there are a number of people that refuse to sit here and let you run your mouth like you think you know everything because you work construction for disney. Working the construction does not give you an accurate assessment of the thought, imagination, and overall feel of the ride. You've even said that you hate test track even though you've never rode it. If that isn't ignorant, I don't know what is. Knowing how a ride operates does not not give you an accurate assesment of how the overall presentation will catch you when you actually ride it.

I know this is not what this thread is about, but I'm sick of watching you come on here and ripping on how people feel about disney. Each person is entitled to their own opinion, but yours is not welcome here, for the main fact that this is a board for people that love Disney....not people that have "outgrown" it.
