I have searched the internet and all the Disney boards for the answer to this question. I know you can get the Disney Blend Coffee that comes in the blue canisters anywhere they sell coffee if you know the brand or bean or blend. Does anyone know the generic blend of coffee this is?

No, but thats a good idea. Its kinda an obscure question, I dont think they would know. I was hoping to find and disney freak and java junkie that would know. He/She is in here somewhere, they just havent seen this message yet.

Kona coffee is VERY expensive ($25 per pound at Captain Cook's Kona Coffee Co.), so it makes sense that it is $8 per cup at the Polynesian.

The coffee most other places is simply undrinkable, so I doubt that it is Kona.

Is Kona coffee the standard coffee served at Disney eateries or is that special to the Polynesian?

The Kona coffe is only in the Poly as far as I know. Its very expensive coffee, but you can get a pound of it in BJ's for $14.99/lb. Is pure Kona not a mix like alot of brands.

Kona Cafe has the best coffee, that's the only coffee that I will drink.

Kona is the best but I think Dunkin Doughnuts coffee is out of site. Especially for less than $2 for a jumbo.

Nescafe is the brand at the eateries of WDW.

Nescafe would gag a maggot. I know the coffee that you can buy now in the blue cans was once served at Disney restaraunts. I just want to know what bean or blend that is so I can find it local. Someone has got to know this. :veryconfu

I have to admit that I own a jar of Nescafe instant coffee. I bought it for 2 reasons:
1) I was in desperate need of a WDW fix, so I thought that Nescafe would help, and
2) I was in school, and coffee was $1 per cup in the machine, but hot water was free. (Hey--tuition for one class was $900. For that I can buy park passes for the whole family!!)

Anyway, time passed, I passed the class, and the trip to WDW finally rolled around.

To my great shock, the coffee at the Pop Century food court was worse than Nescafe instant!

I didn't even bother after the first day. I had enough adrenaline to get me out the door, and skipping the coffee got me to the bus stop even earlier.

My first experience with Nescafe was at WDW. My wife went to get us some coffee one morning from a beverage cart at MK and she brought back what we thought was the standard very good "Disney Blend Coffee". I had to throw it away it was so bad. Tasted like dirty dish water. (don't ask how I know, I just know) Maybe it was because I was expecting something else, but I vowed never to drink Nescafe again.
