Disney birthday hat?

I know this is the tackiest thing ever, but that's what I love about it.

Is there a difference between the WDW and DL ones?

How much is it, where can I get it, and is it available outside the parks (outside of the $40 eBay price)?

Don't know whether there's a difference between DL's and WDW's, but you can always order it at the price paid in the theme parks from WDW Merchandise Mail Order 407-363-6200.

I don't know about DL, but I don't think I've ever seen that particular hat at WDW before. That's not saying anything since I haven't been in the parks since NYE, but the one I've always seen at WDW is a three "tiered" cake; lots of icing and stuff. I tried to find a photo of it on google but without much luck.

I know they're not cheap, but I don't know how much the bigger hats are. My santa mickey-ear hat was about $17 or so during MVMCP so it was less then I thought it would be. Looking at completed items sold on ebay, previous birthday hats just like the one in the auction you linked, sold for A LOT less then $35.

My son got one just like the one on eBay when we were at WDW in March. I can't remember how much it cost, but my guess is 24.99 or 29.99.

He also got a cute graduation cap with Mickey Ears. I think both together were around $50.

We had our Honeymoon in Disneyland in June 2005 we wore the Bride & Groom ones. My mother in law got them from Walt Disney World. She called the main Street store number and bought them directly from, they mailed them down. She gave them to me at my Bridal party. It was a really cool suprise. I had a Mickey Mouse theme Bridal Shower. Chris and I wore them every time we went to Disneyland, so all our Charator pics have us in the hats. I changed my avator just today because I wanted to share how cute the look with every one.
