Disney, AOL, and Vivendi arent the only ones doing bad...

One of disneys biggest competitors....Six Flags Inc, who owns and operates 38 theme parks worldwide....lost a lot of Money today...

6 Flags lost about 60% of its share value today and it reported huge 2nd quarter losses. So, Disney and Vivendi Universal arent the only ones doing bad.

You know, I am really going to come across as a sorry SOB for saying this, but... Six Flags got what they had coming to them. I mean, the parks are declining to such a sad state that I am beginning to fear for my safety on some of their attractions (I have sworn to never ride any flat ride built over 3 years ago at a Six Flags park). Cedar Fair's parks are so much better too. Say what you want about their theming (save for Knott's), but CF at least runs a clean and efficient operation.

fyi- BIll Gates owns 8.6% of Six Flags Inc.




at Nasdaq.com Six Flags dropped about 3% today and Vivendi Universal dropped 7%. Disney and AOL are both up today.

Michael Eisner also bought $10 million worth of shares yesterday. That has a tendancy to pursuade the "less informed" folks to buy some Disney shares. Vivendi's stock also spiked when Messier made a similar move earlier this year.

Are you even remotely aware why Vivendi's stock is in so much trouble? With your repeated comparisons of Vivendi and Disney, I think you are completely ignorant of the situation.

Disney4648 why dont you go talk to some economist. You will see that when other companies that are competitors of Disney fall hard Disney will fall just as hard. How can you laugh when a company goes out of business? you are one sick cold hearted person. When businesses go out of business it means lay offs. And you are celebrating this, that is just sick.
