Disney has now made it official: Just moments ago, they finally made the long-anticipated announcement about the new Monsters, Inc. attraction that will be moving into the old SuperStar Limo attraction in Disney's California Adventure park.

The ride, called Monsters, Inc.: Mike And Sully To The Rescue, will involve Mike and Sully rescuing little Boo, who has accidentally found herself in Monstropolis.

In addition, Disney also announced that they will be importing Turtle Talk With Crush into the Animation Building in DCA from Disney-MGM Studios in Florida.

Interestingly, there was absolutely no mention of the submarine lagoon in Disneyland, or the Finding Nemo theme that has been rumored to be a part of its reconstruction.

The board moderator at www.miboards.com has indicated that the Sub ride will be announced around the July 17 actual 50th celebration. Monsters, Inc. will be completed and operated much sooner than the Sub Ride and perhaps they wanted to spread the announcements. I think we can rest assured that the Sub ride is coming back with a Nemo overlay.

I think its kind of sad that so many of disneys newest rides are based off of Pixar movies. It goes to show how much Disney relied on Pixar to stay popular. And it also goes to show how insane it is for Disney to not do everything in their power to keep Pixar happy.

Anyway, the rides sound good. That hollywood limo ride could easily be transformed into a monsters inc ride so I'm happy for that. But the "turtle talk" thing seems like it may be spreading a joke a bit too thin. But we'll see.

Yep! Turtle Talk is in the Living Seas building. Pretty cool interactive/educational show that people of all ages like!

They added the Ellen character (Dory), but she is not "interactive" like Crush...she just chimes in once in a while like she did on her talk show!

It will be a great addition to the park!

Sounds good. And as an extra bonus: it's not going into Tomorrowland!

(Nothing personal with Disney or Pixar, I just think they should spread their characters into different areas of the parks.)
