ok i know this is far fetched but i wonder if disney ever thought of starting up their own airline.they have ventured into almost everything else like a cruise company and a town.if u think about it it would be really good for the company to have an all inclusive vacation-fly on the disneyline to wdw or disneyland stay in a disney hotel and fly back via disneyline-disney has enough land to have a small airport so u wont have to deal with airports and traffic etc. just a wacky thought i had:D

It's a pity what happened with Delta. There agreement was the most near thing to travel by "Air Disney". Kids got many Disney things like crayons, masks and other souvenirs, while the service was fine, too. I wonder why Disney haven't allied with other airline yet...

disney alligned themselves with premier cruise lines before starting their own i wonder if disney will do the same with an airline-its really not that far fetched-if they can own a cruise line why not an airline-maybe in the future

I think this would be REALLY cool. I wish I could fly, my dad is afraid of flying so we drive. Could you imagine it though....a plane filled with people ALL going to Disney! NUTS!!

Well the airline sounds ok (as long as the prices aren't sky high). But the airport was discussed here once and we all know that won't happen. Even though Walt did have one in his original ideas.

A disney airline is practically out of the question. Just think about it. What would happen to Disney Financially and Culturally if One of their planes were to crash.

hmm.....good point. Mind you, i dont think that it would be that bad, because planes have crashed before, and the company is still going strong (not in all cases though...ie. Pan Am (but that was a bomb- so i suppose thats different than just a crash that no one could of prevented, if you know what i mean)

It's true. Accidents happen all the time, including inside WDW, but a Plane crash would be too much to "cover" without the media junkies publishing Disney is unsafe of something of the sort. But if we look it this way, Disney Cruise Line has chances to sink or also have an accident of the type, and Disney went through it.

American Airlines and United Airlines are doing fine still after 9/11. So a crash with an airline Jet wouldn't be a problem. But I still don't see Disney doing it, because they don't need to at this point.

I do not believe that disney can afford an airline.....each plane costs from $30-40 million dollars and if they were going to lease them....then it would cost $100,00+ a month....and I dont think that Disney has that kind of money when they are trying to open a new resort..... :):) :D :)

Yes, it's true about AA and UA, but those are big Airline enterprises which can't be compared with Disney which is instantaneously linked with kids. If a UA or AA plane has an accident children won't be much influenced by it, while if something bad happens to the name Disney it gives a "pretty" bag image to the Disney Company which I think doesn't want to spoil so many years of dedication with something that isn't even necessary.

Isnt that Already the case on most flights going down to Orlando? When we flew down last month, 95% of the Plane was filled in with Families. Even in First Class where we were seated(Hint Hint, Dont Fly FC to Orlando during Vacation times, VERY Loud.....)
