Disney 3-D Attractions

I was just thinking. What do you think will happen to Honey I shrunk the audience when they finally decide to change/update the attraction? Disney 3-D attractions seem to be a one time thing, as far as updating the original. What I mean is remember magical journeys...became Captain Eo... then HISTA. What will happen to Muppets 3-D? If the trend of totally changing the theme of the attraction continues, will this be the last of the Muppets? Or will they make a new movie?

What do you think?????

Well, since the Company recently acquired the Muppets, I'd doubt that they'd completely remove them from the park. Personally, I really hope MuppetVision stays where it is for the time being--it's one of my favorites. As for HISTA, I haven't a clue. Perhaps it's the "surprise" that Corrus referred to in the Brother Bear raft ride thread.

They won't get rid of the Muppets. Now that they can basically do whatever they want with them, they would do a lot more before they'd do less.

As for HISTA ... well, it is showing its age.

i think hista is cute, but i also agree that it has out lived its time. i would like to see something new and fresh there. as far as what, well i'll leave that up to the fabulous imagineers. as for the muppets - keep them, it's one of my favorite attractions.tracy

I am not directly trying to attack the statement, but you said that "Disney 3-D attractions seem to be a one time thing." I found it hard to understand where you were going with your original post. I mean, they just added Philharmagic, which is immensely popular, and It's Tough to be a Bug seems to be a favorite (not by kids though. It's about d amn time that parents stopped taking their kids on this attraction.) Clarify please.</TD></TR><TR UNSELECTABLE="on" hb_tag="1"><TD style="FONT-SIZE: 1pt" height=1 UNSELECTABLE="on">

yea

I dont think that they will ever get rid of the muppets. It was Jim Hensons last muppets project before he died, that sorta makes it a classic. At least I hope it does.
they could eventually update the interior and special effects, but I hope they never change the film, it seems to have aged very well

Adamthegetupkid, you misunderstood me, I think Philharmagic, and ITTBAB are great. All I was saying is that it seems like the old 3-D attractions they had were totally changed. I love the Muppets, and I think 3-D attractions are great, but do you think they will update HISTA to a new movie about the Honey I shrunk the kids movie? I don't think so. So when people start saying, Muppet 3-D is great, but it is getting dated, what will they do, replace it with something else (Which I doubt), or make a new Muppet film? I know they would never change Small World, or Splash Mountain, but it seems like the 3-D attractions are more expandable.

Muppetvision will definately stick around for awhile. Now with HISTA and imo, the whole imagination pavillion, please, update it.

Unfortunately i know that thinking about budget, just a new film is more likely.
