I just bought my Birnbaums 2002 WDW guide and I was looking for some information about that Animal Island Near the Contemporary and the River COuntry water park.....i could not find any info about this and I was wondering if they got rid of this mini attraction...? and if they didnt...do you know anywhere i could find some info?:animwink:

this attration/mini park is no longer there. it was called discovery island and now the part of animal kingdom with the big tree is called discovery island.. (does not suit it right i dont think). i think it closed 2 or 3 years ago.... it was sponsored by friskies... um it has housed the ferry boats from time to time.. i dont think anythings going on there... :rolleyes:
