discovery mountain, the lastest E-ticket dark ride for disney

ok first for those who have read my earlyer post i changed it abit
well first thing first.

the ride system
a new age hybrid system, the centilevered coaster design and a water coaster system similar to that of journey to atlantis at seaworld.

the story
embark on a daring trek into the mystery that is discovery mountain on this one of a kind attraction.
board your jeep and set off on a once in a lifetime adventure, travel through a tropical jungle, past breathtaking waterfalls and extraordinary animals and plantlife.
but be warned, it is common knowledge to the locals that discovery mountain is volcanic.it has long been dormant but she is due for a wake-up.watch out if that ancient bridge doesn't hold the only way out is shall we say a hot one.
can you discover the true secret behind this mountain?.

the concept
the first portion of the ride starts outside and is the centilevered part,
the jeep would be on the special centilevered track, therefore removing the track from the riders view.the range of movement on the centilevered ride design would enable the jeep to perform things such as drifting scids around corners, create the illution of hanging over the edge of a cliff and possibly a sort of tumble/barrel roll (this would come in a bit later)

as i mentioned in the story, there would be an ancient bridge (ala indy jones ride at DLC) that would give way to the weight of your jeep, causing you to fall into a boiling river of lava (this would be coloured water with a smoke effect drifting over the top of it).this 'fall' would be the transition between the centilevered track and the water channel.
to do this the centilevered track would go verticle, the range of movement on the centilevered coaster track would enable the actual ride car to stay horizontal (this could be where the tumble/barrel role manouver comes into action),the track would then level out again to join the edges of the water channel, enabling the car to move into the water.

from this point it becomes a dark flume, only with the carracteristics of a raft ride (allowing the car to spin and drift freely through rough waters, like kali rivcer rapids) until the car then rejoints the centilevered tracik for a trip back through the jungle to the station.

obviosly this ride would require some heavy themeic scenery but i think that disney could do it.

so what do you think, feel free to critisise or complement.

Dude, I almost wet myself at the thought og that coming true.
However, I do think this whole, tumbling inot lava transition is a little advanced at the moment.
Nonethells, great idea! :D

thanks man.

the transition could be done now, think about it.

the centilevered coaster track is vertical (one track side above the other) right, well the idea i had was that as the track leveled out again at the bottom of the tumble, the track would rotate 90 degrees so that the track was horizontal, like a regular track.
that way the track ends could get thinner so that the car would nicely float off of the track and into the water channel.
splash mountain uses the same idea during its small coastery bit.heres how it works .
the boat floats up too the track, the ends of the track are thinner than the rest of it,this is so that the coasterish wheels that are on the bottom of the boat get guided on and off of the track easilyfrom the water.il try and find a pic of what im talking about for you to make it easyer
a few examples of this are:-splash mountain
journey to atlantis in sea world
ripsaw fall at IOA
buzzsaw falls at silver dollar city
it is a feature of all water coasters, but with the geneus (sp?) of yhe disney imagineers i think they can make the idea work on a centilevered coaster track.

BTW can you or anyone think of a better name for my ride, cos this one sucks

Aaaaah, now I get you. I completely forgot what a centilevered coaster was for a moment. And yes, in theory itis possible! :D
As for a name.....hmmmmm.......you really need a story line first. I'd love to see a Night on Bald Mountain Ride (HINT HINT lol)

hmmm story line?,story line?.err

ah ha story line.this is basically an elaboration of the before posted story.il write the story then tell you how some of the elements will work that i came up with.and you may notice that i have a new name for it wahoo!.well here goes

dragon mountain.
hidden deep in a jungle in thenorthern philippines, lies a myserious volcanic mountain, previous tails of it awesome destructive power has earnt it the name among the locals as dragon bundok.dragon mountain.dragon mountain has long been dormant, but for how much longer can she rest.local fortune tellers say they have forseen her waking up.but that cant be true can it?,the guided jeep tours are still running aren't they?.

embark on you guided tour up to this mystic and gentle mountain, through the wonder that is bundok jungle, but on you tranquil tourney through this uncharted jungle the natives become hostile, they still believe the mountain will go up any minute and they are willing to stop anyone getting too close, whatever it takes.could they really be telling the truth?,is she waking up?.
its up to you to find out.

how it works
i have changed my idea as to how the ride could transfer from track to water

ok so here how some of the elements work,
yes it would be a real tour guide (ala jungle cruise.only less jokes)
the 'natives' would be real people too using stunt guns (like they use in the indy jones stunt show)
once they 'attack' the truck would speed off in to the mountain, from there the tour continues, showing you things like staligmites and stuff.

the tour guide would leave the ride at the tumble into the water/lava.
heres how, my idea is that once the truck is half way along the bridge it would stop (this would be the part where it moves on to the verticle track similar to the drop part of ToT,the actual car would move onto a platform that was the dropping platform),the guide would get off, something like he was checking the bridge was wide enough or whatever.and the car would drop down leaving the guide at the top.

at the bottom of the drop, the car would move off of the platform and into the water.
it is a water ride from then on.and it ends as a water ride.
my idea is the end station is out of sight from the entrance station (like kilamanjaro safaris)that way the end of the ride station could be like a river dock.

obviously there would be some sort of fail safe thing where the car wouldn't drop if it wasn't connected to the drop platform.
and the guide would not rejoin you, instead he/she would get back into the vehicle on the part between the end station and start station, where the car moves from one to the other.

disney could experiment with new effects such as warm steam effects, how to make water look like lava and stuff like that.

the cars would have seat belts as the first restraints and individual lap bars as the second.
to stop this locking in the case of an emergency, like the car tipping over in the water, disney could put some sort of thing that recognised if the boat was more than a certain number of degrees away from the waters surface and that would unlock the restraints.

if anyone has got any more ideas for my ride, then tell me and il put them in.
