It all depends on which way you look at it - Discovery Cove is expensive for a 30 min "in the water" experience with a dolphin. On the other hand - the cost of your entry includes :-

"New in 2006, from the moment you arrive at Discovery Cove, everything is ready and waiting for you and included in your day's admission -- all snacks and beverages throughout the day, including a continental breakfast featuring danish, muffins, fruit, coffee and juice served outside Laguna Grill as well as various Anheuser-Busch products and snacks from either of our beach bars. These amenities are all in addition to the Laguna Grill lunch always included as part of Discovery Cove admission".

PLUS - 7 consecutive days admission to SeaWorld. Now I can't see anyone on a WDW holiday wanting to spend 7 days at SeaWorld but we always visit there twice when we're on holiday so that in itself effectively reduces the cost of your Discovery Cove experience by about $100.

Its a great day to relax and with restricted numbers it never feels crowded.

Still not convinced - PM me with any other questions.

PS - we did DC for the first time in 2003 - we're going back this August

It definitly is worth the experience especially with all meals/snacks included. It makes for a wonderful day. The biggest piece of advice is if you do book a dolphin swim, get to DC as close to 8am (the start of registration as possible) the earlier you get there, the earlier your dolphin swim is. That way you dont have to worry about watching the clock while your enjoying the other activities.
