Hello All, Disney just released room discounts for travel Sept thru just before Christmas today. Hello, Disney we are almost into Sept. Where are the promo's for the dead of winter Jan-Early March, when the World is really quite, and they are looking to fill rooms? I have been going at that time of year for about 5 yrs now and they have always had a promo, usually announced by this time. I want to book room, tickets, and airline, not to mention ADR's. Has anyone heard any promo's coming out like real soon? Hello Calling Master Yoda!!!!!

I'm right there with ya. Hoping to plan a mid-January trip. I went ahead and made ADR's just in case. I'm getting anxious. Current specials are good until Sep. 29. Hopefully we'll hear something immediately after that, if not sooner.

I believe Disney is trying a new tactic. For people like me that pay full price, they are hoping that we will not look for the discounts. Each year I just book the trip we want, pay for it, and then watch for the discounts, and then call and have them apply it. Maybe they figure that waiting until later will get them more income?

I have a feeling the 2013 stuff is waiting on the newest promotion to be announced (i.e. what they are doing instead of the Memories packages) and if I had to guess, it's going to play off the new Fantasyland in some way, at least a bit. My gut tells me there is going to be a huge marketing campaign once it's all open to really push for folks to come see it all.

Don't worry. I had the same thoughts about our trip in November and the discounts just came out last night. I had already booked our rooms, and called Disney today to adjust the total to the annual passholder rates. It was strange because they usually release those discounts in late July or early August. It seems that Disney is waiting longer to release the discount rates this year. Not sure why though. If I were you, I would book what you want to make sure you get it and then have them adjust if/when discounts are released. I know that does not help with airline and car rental reservations if things don't work out, but it is the only advise I can offer as I live within a few hours drive and don't have to book those extras. Hope it all works out for you.

Keep in mind too that Disney is more likely to offer discounts once they have a better picture of what reservations during that time look like. In otherwords, if they look ahead and see there is a 3 month span where current reservations are relatively low, they are more likely to release discounts for that time frame to get folks in the door. Right now, with the FLE happening at the end of December, I'm betting even pre-packages and pre-discounts, the January-March time frame is pretty heavily booked by comparison to previous years. That's not to say they won't release discounts but they may take longer to do so.

I've been thinking the same thing and checking daily to see when the promos come out. I'm waiting to make sure I book our trip to make the most out of Jan/Feb promotions since we can go anytime. Historically Disney has released some Jan/Feb August but I'm thinking with the new Fantasyland expansion they may be behind or coming up with a new offering. I think I saw somewhere that a few years back they did free dining and a gift card for that time period - that would be amazing!!

**also i saw from mousesavers historical data that free dining in 2011 and 2012 was released in August - 8/16 and 8/24 respectively. there were other discounts offered later.

WDW announced awhile back that they were going to try to reduce the number of discounts. So it makes sense that they would be releasing them later and later to more effectively gauge response and reduce the number of discounts needed/offered.

Yup, Dead on. And the ones that ARE being released are roughly 1/4 the value that they were about 2-3 years ago. 2013 may very well be Year 1 for No Discounts.
We are waiting for AP discounts for Feb /Mar also!!!!!!

We usually book via AP discount & waiting patiently for them to come out!!!!!.....
