discount codes??

I am planning a trip and i just learned about these discount codes (where have i been this whole time?) and there is none listed for the time I am going (october). I am wondering if Discount codes are only available for the slow times? If i wait a month or two will they have available codes for the time i am going? thank you so much for any help you can give me.

There should be discounts for October as it is a slower period. Those codes will probably not come out until about Aug. or Sept.

I think Mousesavers has "historic codes" which will give you an idea of the savings for October.

I book room only for the period I want. Then if there are codes I do a new booking and cancel the old booking. Always do the new booking BEFORE you cancel the old one or you might not have a room.

I am not sure how it would work if it were a package rather than room only.

My suggestion to you is to book the room at the normal rate and put your downpayment on it. If you are booking a room only, you have until 5 days prior to check in to pay it off. In the meantime if a code comes out, you just have to call Disney and ask them to apply the code to your reservation and you will then just have to pay the difference since your downpayment will already be applied to it. I do it for my clients all the time.

Yep, that's all there is to it. I did this last year. Wee too are going in Oct this year. We'll book the room now, and when the codes come out (around late summer or so), we'll call back and apply the code and get any packages we want to add at that time.
