Discount Code Questions

I'm hoping to book my room with the coupon code for 40% off a standard value resort room that I recieved in the mail a few weeks ago which brings me to have a few questions hopefully all of you can help.

When I book the room will they do the same thing by charging you for the first night stay and you can pay in increments? I only ask this since the Phone # is different from the main reservation line.

Even tho it is a standard room..Is it possible to request where I can stay in the resort? I'm staying at Pop.

You can request anything in the Standard rooms, but all requests are just that, requests. You may not get what you request.

As for payments, on a room-only booking you pay a one-night deposit and the remainder is due on check-in. You can make incremental payments in the interim if you so desire. You can cancel up to five days before arrival with a full refund.

Call soon, the discounts are only available for a limited number of rooms, if they're gone for your dates you might still get them for other resorts or other dates if you're prepared to be flexible.

Good luck and have a great vacation!

A little off topic, but i read about these codes and i 'm wondering how to obtain them. I 'm aware of getting them after i have booked, but people write as though they get them before they book.If so how do you get it?

So as long as i'm regestered on the disney website they will send me this e mail if i'm lucky?

If you're registered *and* you checked the box that says something like "Yes, please send me information and promotional material for the Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries." Make sure you say it's OK to use both email and snail mail addresses.

It also wouldn't hurt to order a new Vacation Planning DVD. On the second page where they ask you additional questions, make sure to answer the one that says when you're thinking about going on your next trip. I ordered one late last year, and put that I was thinking about going in June 2009. A month later, voila! I get my first-ever special offer PIN code email for Free Dining in May & June 2009. (and this, despite ordering the DVD annually, and being registered on disney.com for many years, and having been to WDW almost annually since 1997, was the first time I'd EVER gotten one of those emails).

I also wonder if they use cancelled vacations as a basis for sending out promotions to try and lure people back. Back in 2007, a few friends and I were planning on going. We'd booked two rooms at Pop under Free Dining in September. In the end, though, we had to postpone our trip and cancel the reservation because too many people had to drop out. Well, sometime in mid-2008, my friend Erik gets a PIN code mailing from Disney via snail mail good for a discounted package for the last 3 months of 2008. The ONLY reason Disney had his address was because the second room of our cancelled trip was in his name...

PaulG... We received the 40% offer via snail mail. The offer was so good we could not pass it up, and booked for the end of Sept. into Oct! I'm from New Jersey, and we were planning on going to the Jersey Shore for our summer vacation. Well we were able to book this trip with Dining and airfare for the same $ it would have cost us to go to the shore for 1 week. I'm guessing if your info is updated on their website and you select options to receive promotions and mail from them, you may luck out and get something. The 40% off was for selected dates throughout the year as well. Disney's rep over the phone advised what weeks he had available at what hotels (i think it's Value only) As a side note, (i don't know how accurate this is) but someone recently told me that the Buy 4 Get 3 Free promotion that they are running now equates to 43% off in the end. As of now though, the Buy 4 ends in August, i doubt they extend that because the free dining promotion begins right after that.
