Disability Pass & Genie + ?

Our last trip to WDW was in 2019, so things have changed! I could use some help! We are traveling in late June / Early July and are traveling with 3 kids, (10, 8, & 5) as well as my 70 year old mother. My 5 year old has serious anxiety and won't be able to tolerate waiting in lines. He also won't be riding anything but the most mild rides (lap infant allowed rides). My mom has a limited ability to tolerate walking and heat. My 10 and 8 year olds are theme park junkies.

Our general plan is for my husband and I to rope drop and/or stay out late with the two older ones. My mom and and 5 year old will join us for a few hours in the park and then likely spend much of the day relaxing at the hotel. I'd like to get a disability pass for my 5 year old to make the park more manageable for the few hours a day that he and my mom are there with us. If I understand correctly, this will essentially work like genie+ LL reservations for my family when he is with us for the rides he is riding?

Can I purchase Genie+ for just my me, my husband, and two older kids to help with the rest of the day? Do the two systems get managed together seamlessly in the app? Will my head spin constantly managing things on the app?

DAS works in a way similar to Genie in that you can schedule return times within the MDE app. But they don't automatically integrate and there is no guarantee that your times would synch and you would need to manage them separately to make the times match up together, or overlap at least.

But, keep in mind that the entire party can use the DAS return time, not just your son, so you could use Genie and LL while he's not there and use the DAS together when he is.

And virtual queues are separate. While you can only hold one DAS return time at a time, that can coexist with a virtual queue holding time.

If you pre-register, you can choose up to 2 Advance DAS return times in advance for each day, so I highly recommend doing that, it does require a virtual call and your son would need to be present for it. You can do that from 2 to 30 days prior to a park visit. You can register in advance at the link below.
