Directions in mapquest

Hello All,

I will be in Disney in 3 weeks. My wife has to visit an office there for a short time. My problem is that whenever I try to map were she needs to go in mapquest I receive an error stating that the address I put in for the resort (Pop Century) does not exist. I am trying to map this address: 2500 Discovery Drive, Orlando Fl 32826. Can someone tell me how far this place is? It is called: University Behavioral Health Center. My wife is a social worker and needs to pick up some paperwork.

thanks,

George

I had trouble finding it in RandMcNally too. The problem is they don't register the address for the Pop. The don't have any address number that high.
I think your best bet would be to call them and ask for directions.

Follow my instructions...

1. Click here

2. Click on the letter "A" on the map 1 time.

3. Click the "south" arrow 1 time.

4. See Osceola Parkway? See how it says "Osceloa Pky" and the "ky" part is in the middle of a lake? That is the lake that is the center of the Pop Century resort.

So what I would do is take Osceola over to International Drive and take that until you hit the right road to begin following the map's directions. Or it might be faster to take I-4 through Orlando - I'm not sure!

I hope that helps!

On a side note, as I was scrolling around on the map I noticed that yahoo even has ATTRACTION NAMES in their maps! I found Journey Into Imagination and The Land. How crazy is that!

I've found that Yahoo, Microsoft and others occasionally have better/more complete driving directions than Mapquest for Disney resorts and theme parks. I wonder whether the same would be true for non-Disney resorts.

I recently started using maps.google.com for directions. It's far superior to mapquest and the others. Give it a shot.

Ok, Google has done it again... first gMail and now the maps! Very superior maps and full screen. Nice find!

Used Mapquest last year for directions to Pop Century. Good News, I had no problem getting the directions. The Bad news, the directions were terrible. The directions had us get off the highway 10 exits too early!!! We were luck that we found it by accident.

I have gotten some terrible directions from Mapquest before, so I try to avoid that at all costs. I now get my directions from AAA.com

I agree with TAC that you should never solely rely on the directions given online, you could end up driving into a lake. I always use the on line as a guide and then check it against a regular map. If you are renting a car from the airport, they will provide you with a general, albeit small map of the area surrounding the airport (which this place seems to be not too far from) all the way to include WDW, so if you use both the online directions and the map it's the best way to go. If you really feel you need to have a full size map, the Hess gas stations sell them (at least they do here in NY) and Hess is now on property at WDW.

I love how the maps are so detailed. (Looking at maps.google.com) they have all the access roads behind the WS pavillions at Epcot, the road to the parking lot behind Tony's at MK, and even the lake around Tom Sawyer Island and the access channel from there to the Seven Seas Lagoon. I also love how they show the road coming in behind MK and how it just stops (it enters the Utilidors)

Very sweet. Thanks for alerting me to Google Maps!
