Awesome…big perk for the $200-$350 a night plebs…

They giving out some free $70 tickets too?

Those staying at a Deluxe Disney Resort simply don't have time for unwashed commoner activities like ... ick... water parks. Those are far too low brow for the elite clientele Disney is attracting with their superior-in-every-way Deluxe resorts.

This should be true always, although to be fair it wasnt good back in the day because they had a long time between buses. I always drive to TL or BB because of the hassle.

These resorts have more guests so it makes more sense to support dedicated busses. Also, from my own experience, when I'm at some deluxes I feel like I'm paying a lot that I don't want to pay more to go to a water park when I have pool options I'm happy with at my resort and/or I'm less likely to go to a water park than a near theme park. As an example, it didn't make sense for me at Beach Club to bypass Stormalong Bay time to pay more for a water park. That said, for the people that *do* want to go it does feel like a kick to the stomach to force folks paying $400 $600 or more for rooms to transfer.

interesting choice... but hey, an addition for a change!
Not really a mystery…try to drive those in the “cheaper” rooms to a “low end” ticketed spot with really high profit on the food and bev.

How’s typhoon’s attendance been? It should really be mobbed.
Blizzard closed and the local waterparks crowd?

This is great to see! Lyft is usually how I travel to TL anyway, it’s very cheap.

Typhoon Lagoon is easily my favorite park, and if you’ve never been you should try it out. It’s wonderful that it maintains its original theme throughout and all over.
Food is good, rides are never long waits, and it’s just so beautiful!

Both water parks are fantastic…

Which is why they should be open and crowded

Volcano Bay & Aquatica are consistently closing at capacity. VB is expensive but offers higher quality attractions.

Yeah I was at Volcano Bay over the weekend and the park was very crowded but had a great time anyway. The early entry for hotel guests is so critical for riding Krakatau without waiting 3-4 hours. The Disney water parks feel so lacking attractions wise but I enjoy Typhoon Lagoon's theme more.

I agree that the WDW Waterparks are a bit nicer when it comes to theming (especially Blizzard Beach), but you can tell that people really do care about the number of offerings available to them. Aquatica is consistently adding new attractions and treat their pass holders amazingly.

We've stopped by during the week, found parking easy -- at most back to the 2nd parking area. Weekend, we have found parking they used parking in the grass lot. Found crowds very manageable and the park is very relaxing thanks to the (best) lazy river.

Aquatica -- if I am ever in the area, the cars are very backed up trying to reach the parking lot.

Last time I drove by IslandH2O, we could see about 6 people on the stairs/tower.

(all observations from July.

So they’re not doing well…in other words…

Are they still stupidly not selling the water park annuals?
