Dinosaur not operating 4/19-6/1?

can't really get any more up to date than that...those are the official dates that the ride will be closed. There's always the next trip...the ride really needs a rehab, so I'm glad it's finally getting one.

I'll be at WDW 5/15- 5/24 and I'm hoping maybe they'll finish it quick and open it before June 1st

It could happen.... -StephanieI'm right there with you brother. We will be there in early May. This is one of our favorite attractions in all of WDW. My wife and I rode it the first time in April, 1998 during AK's soft opening. We took our kids in 2002 but eventually decided that it was too scary for them (they were 2 and 4). They were really looking forward to it for this May (me too
).Here's the real kicker. Last week we get something in the mail from Disney about our trip. It was personalized; something like "For the Vreeland family's May vacation". Of course, of the three attractions pictured one of them was Dinosaur!. AAHHHHHHHHHHHH. Why'd they have to do that? I mean, they knew it would be closed in May. Why?

It most likely won't be. Usually when a rehab gets a set closing date and re-opening date, that's set in stone. But then again, it's rumored for Indiana Jones Adventure to open a week before its scheduled opening at Disneyland (I can only hope that it will be so I can ride it once again, I love that ride and i'll be at DL a week before it is suppose to reopen), so sometimes it can change. But I believe that if it does finish ahead of schedule, they'll take the rest of the time and use it to their advantage, to fix up a few things or more that they may have missed. I think this is Dinosaur's first major rehab, but I may be wrong.

Weird for them to do a rehab during primetime in the summer. It must need rehab majorly.

Oh no... I will be going to WDW with the family for the first time. I had really hoped Dinosaur would be operating. If it isnt I will reply to this forum. But well, who knows??

that isn't prime summer season...it's kinda halfway between off season and the busy season, thus there will be far fewer rehabs than there are now, but there will still be a couple. Hey, we get the Flower and Garden Festival and Star Wars Weekends to make up for DINOSAUR, Snow White (no big loss...), Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure (also not a big loss...) and...is Disney ever gonna make a decision on whether or not to close The Living Seas for Phase II of construction? It's only a month before it's "supposed" to close...
