Dinosaur Dilemma

Just a random thought. I remember how exciting the dinosaurs were on the Universe of Energy ride at EPCOT when it first opened. Being transported amidst moving dinosaurs seemed like such a cool experience back in the 80's. Then came the fast-action Dinosaur ride at AK and the EPCOT dinosaurs suddenly looked like the Prozac addicted cousins of the AK dinosaurs. Hmm... too much time on my hands?

I personally still love the Dinousaurs over at the Universe of Energy, they may not be the most advanced AAs in the world but they are still really run, and still shock people with the different water effects.

I'll answer your question metaphorically.

I grew up with my Mom cooking a lot of what would now be called "comfort food." You know, meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs, baked chicken and mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, etc.

As I got out on my own more, I learned I love all sorts of heavily spiced (not necessarily "hot," just things with a lot of spices included) foods, such as cuisines from Mexico, Thailand, India, etc.

I love cooking and eating enchiladas, pad thai, and chicken tikka masala. But I ALSO still love meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

I can love both of them. Just because I enjoy highly spiced foods doesn't mean I can't also enjoy mac and cheese.

Just because you get a thrill from Dinosaur doesn't mean you can't also enjoy the ride in Universe of Energy. Try not to compare the two ... try to enjoy each on its own merits.

UoE used to be my favorite ride because of the dinosaurs. Now that there are two attractions on property that have animatronic dinosaurs, both have been toned down. Anyone remember when the Stegosaurus was on a rock above you and the rock looked like it was loose and about to fall towards you?
