I just was wondering what everyone thought was the best dinner show! I am going to DW in the spring and want to see a show so any input would be nice! Thanks

Never been to one, but while staying at the polynesian it seemed like they went all out for the luau. They gave everyone lei's and then walked them down to Luau Cove. Then after I asked someone how it was and they said it was great. But I just can't see spending that money for that food when I can go to Ohana and have almost the same thing. But I guess to some the show is worth it...to each their own.

Hoop De doo is by far the best dinner show at WDW. I have been to them all. If you want to have an overall GREAT time. This is the one to choose. They have great audience participation and the menu is a follows.

barbeque ribs
fried chicken
corn
warm bread with honey butter
salad
baked beans
strawberry shortcake

all you can eat and drink

Best Dinner Show

Mickey's All American Backyard BarBQue was the best dinner show that we've gone to. Food similar to HoopDeDoo but more of it, bigger variety of entertainment(line dance teacher, fancy rope guy, live C&W Band, a lot of character interaction) Kind of like a wedding reception without the wedding.....AND it's cheaper!

I went to the Luau once with a big group of friends and we had fun, but we left hungry! The food is way much better and abundant at Ohana´s. The show is ok, too much of a fashion parade. The guy with the fire and knives can be also seen at the Lion King Show.

The Back yard barbeque is only available on specific nights. And it's not available all year long. It's the same type of food that you get at the Hoop de Doo, but it's served buffet style. You also have a country western band playing and the characters are there. You have more interaction with the characters here. It's held at the River Country Pavillion.

Backyard BBQ

The BBQ is held from March until November on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At least that was how it was this year. The dining line can tell you if next year is the same or different. The food was the same as the Hoop De Doo plus hot dogs, hamburgers, mac and cheese, beans, and instead of Strawberry Short Cake they brought out big sheet cakes decorated like American Flags. The best thing about this was that you were not confined to your seat for a couple of hours like the Hoop De Doo. You could get up and walk around, dance or do whatever you liked. Characters came twice for autographs and the third time they actually joined in the fun with everyone doing the Chicken, Hokey Pokey, Conga Line, etc. A very fun evening.
