I am going to Disney in September and have made all my dining reservations, but stillhave a few open nights. I was wondering if anyone has been to the Dinner Shows I always see advertised. If you have any suggestions on which shows are the best and how the food is that would be great.

I've been to Medieval Times in California, I suspect the one in Orlando is the same. An entertaining evening. Food is basic roasted fare, the show is knights jousting etc... We had a good time.

Skip arabian nights. Well, I think that's the name of it... the one next to celebration off of 192. Was not a big fan. Maybe if I was a horse-lover?

Edit:
Yes, it's arabian nights... Didn't realize I had a view of the sign outside of my window :D

I heard the Dolly Parton barbecue was good from a friend that went to it. He also says the king arthur type show was excellent with jousting and so forth.

Medieval Times- loved it. Would go again and again. Spend the extra $10 for the royalty package which will give you 1st or 2nd row seating.
Pirates on I-drive-really liked it.
Sleuths on I-drive (if it is even still there) really liked it but young kids would not really like it.
Arabian Nights- Would take cyanide capsule to avoid having to go again. I was there on someone else's dime and felt taken advantage of.

arabian nights..i loved it! i would think you would have to love horses though. i also went when they were doing a more patriotic showing, and i was in the military. but i went again without the patriotic theming and still loved it. but i do love horses.

medieval times..went once, and loved that one also. we also have one free nite, and i am thinking about going here. my son would like this show more than the arabian nights.

If you have kids, especially a little boy, Medievel Times is great. We took my son last year when he was 4, and he is a very very active child(he is always in constant motion),anyway, he sat there watching the show for the entire 1 1/2 or 2 hours, in complete silence. I was amazed, he was soo enthralled in the action that he barely moved a muscle and never took his eyes off the show. When it was over he said that it was great and wanted to know if we could come back the next day.

I agree! I found this show to be boring!

I love going to Dixie Stampede. Of course, I have only been to the one in Pigeon Forge, but I can't imagine the one in Orlando being any different. The first time I went I was 15 and pitched one heck of a fit to not go there. However, my protests did not work, and I was determined to not like it. Well, I loved it! I've been several times, and I've never been disappointed in the show.

Best food: Luau at SeaWorld. Surprisingly,we didn't need tickets the night I went, but it was a night that the park was closing at about dinnertime... might be different midsummer).

Most entertaining show: Pirates Dinner Adventure. I was really surprised how good this was. My only complaint was that if you sit near the back, there's very little light to help you eat your dinner once the lights go down.

We really enjoyed Dixie Stampede, and I recommend the Christmas show over the one they show the rest of the year. Both are good, but the one they put on for the holidays is better (camels and all)!

I went to Dixie Stampede's Christmas show in Orlando and I enjoyed it.

Also, try out the Luau at Sea World too. It's fun and the food is good. You don't need park admission to go to the Luau.
