Dinner at Le Cellier at 8:40pm, is it really worth it to eat that late!? I keep calling every few days to see if something else earlier might open up but so far no luck...

In a word...yes. We waited a few trips before we were able to get in (last seating for lunch) and we really loved it. Its now top of the list for us.

What is going on that day? Any EMH to take advantage of? If not then just push back the times of your meals or add in a snack and go an enjoy a very nice dinner. Then you can wander around EPCOT or head over to the boardwalk and take in the atmosphere.

YES!

To be honest, it will be very nice to eat that late. The meal is SO superb that, if you're at all like me, you'll just float out of the restaurant when you're done and want to simply smile and relax somewhere instead of doing rides and stuff like that. our ressie was at 4 p.m. - it was all they had at the time. But no matter what time you get for dinner, GO! My family and I are "foodies" of sorts, and it's one of the best meals we've ever had! Make sure you make conversation with your waiter/waitress - that made the experience even better for us!

Depends on your food habits and how strict you are. At home, we don't normally eat till around 7pm anyways, so that wouldn't be too late for us, but I know some people eat at 5pm and if they haven't eaten by 6 they are looking for heads to roll :)

Le C' is one of the most popular restaurants on property, I think its worth the wait. Just eat lunch a bit later and you'll be so entertained in the parks the time will just fly anyways!

On our last family trip, we had the issue that we kept waiting too long for dinner that by the time we realized the time, food options were pretty much closed up!

I will go along and say YES! It is really tough to get ADRs there, so I would hold on to what you have. They have the best filet mignon that I've ever had. Unless you are wanting to watch Illuminations that night, then I would not try for any earlier. Besides, you can get full on some delicious food, depending on what time the park closes miss the crowds exiting, and make it back to your hotel to sleep it all off.

We could only get 12:30 lunch ressies or 9pm dinner (that was too late for us, with a 7 month old) so we took the lunch ressie. The filet was awesome, shrimp cocktail was delicious and that pretzel bread was really good, especially with the butter. MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure what Epcot closing time is when you will be at Le Cellier, but when we left after our 8:40 ADR, the park was empty.

As you know, it's a long walk from Canada to the front gate.

It was kinda neat to be the only people in sight...and a little creepy.

Not sure what time it was, but at least 10:00. It was the last night for one of the servers and we stayed for her good-bye ceremony (and gave her a big tip).

We are eating at 7:50 one of the two nights that we are eating a Le Cellier. The other night we are eating at 8:10. Maybe you can figure out that we really enjoy the food there. We are going in September so the parks close earlier than we are used to. We are allowing another night to view the fiireworks, because we ate in the restaurant last time while Illuminations were going off in the background. It was nice because the park was closed when we got out of the restaurant, so we not only had Le Cellier pretty much to ourselves, we had the park to ourselves too. We were able to romantically stroll back to our car. It was nice.

If you are used to eating early, try to get an earlier reservation, but by all means eat there!!!! You are guaranteed to enjoy it.

Have fun on your trip!:p

We had lunch reservations at Garden Grill for 1:00 and at 11:30 we went to the check in to see if they had anything earlier. They told us that since we had reservations, we could come anytime before our time and probably be seated within 15 minutes. I was amazed and asked them if it was because it was going to be a slow day, and they said that they were booked solid, so we thought that maybe it was just that particular restaurant that allowed you to come early. But then we had the same thing happen at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. We had 8:00p.m. reservations and I stopped by earlier in the day to see if anything earlier had opened up, and I was told the same thing....to come anytime I wanted after they opened. Again, they told me they were booked solid. Now I have no idea if any other restaurants allow this, but if you are already at Epcot it would not hurt to stop by earlier in the day and ask.

I was told that we would be ablet to do something similar for one of our dinner ressies at Boma when we made the reservation. Once we got the the restaurant and checked in we were told that they could not seat us earlier. I highly doubt Le Cellier would do this either - being one of the most popular places to eat in WDW. I don't doubt that some places will let you do this, but I wouldn't count on it.

Can't wait to eat there! I have ressies for 8:30 which is 6:30 back at home time. (Perfect dinner time for my stomach! :) ) I planned all our meals around home time which lucky me, provided off dining times and easier to get. Only 12 more days!!!!

Why don't you try for the latest lunch time you can book? When I called for reservations, the earliest dinner time was too late for us so I booked a late lunch at 2:50. From what I've seen of the menu (it'll be our first time at Le Cellier), it's a hearty meal.

Le Celliar generally will not seat earlier, they are always booked!! Its the best though, my family always goes there!!! It seems that Le Cellier and Chef Mickeys are the hardest to get!

we were going to go to yachtsman steakhouse on our trip in august, but since we will be at epcot, and it only takes 1 ts credit, i think we are going to shoot for le c! ive heard nothing but good things, and seeing as how its always booked, one would assume its fanastic! after reading this thread, i think we may try to get a later dinner time. i like the idea of not have a dinner in the middle/end of your day, where after dinner you wont have much time to do anything! at the end of the day though, the park will be empty, tummys will be full, and we can have a nice romantic stroll to the gates, in an eeriely(?) empty quiet park! sounds like a plan to me! :D

It is CERTAINLY worth it! I LOVE LeCellier! I prefer the late times for lunch and dinner. We made most of our lunch ressies around 2pm and our dinner ressies around 8:30pm. That way, we didn't have to rush anywhere. We slept late, had a light breakfast and went on our way. Made for a great vacation.
