If we are AP holders and are not staying on Disney Property (they won't allow my husband's Emotional Support cat) how far in advance can we make Dining Reservations?

I’m surprised they won’t allow the cat. In February we stayed in a room at AoA with two yipping dogs next door. Mentioned to front desk staff and we were told pets allowed.

Dogs are the only pets allowed . And there are restrictions as per the Disney pet policy. In the policy the pets must not disturb guests.. You should have pressed the issue of the barking dogs. Owners then would have had to make other arrangements for boarding if the dogs were a disruption.

Well that’s dumb. Cats are less disruptive and cleaner than dogs. I should’ve pressed the issue. The cast member “helping” me was very dismissive and disinterested. I let it go to not get heated on our trip. Due to multiple cast members’ attitudes I’m really over Disney. I suppose that’s another discussion.

i thought resorts that allowed dogs put them in a certain area dedicated to those with dogs to be sure not to bother other guests, am i wrong?

Yes there are rooms designated as pet friendly but that doesn’t mean they are completely isolated from other guest rooms. That’s why the policy is that dogs if disruptive will get the owners called back from the parks to deal with the issue. You can access the pet policy to see that owners must agree to and sign the terms. There are other restrictions in place for pet owners to follow.
