Dining Reservations

I was making some dining reservations for June this weekend (yeah, finally within 90 days!!:sohappy: ) but I have a question. For Liberty Tree Tavern, the last dinner reservation was at 5:40 and then at Mama Melrose's the last reservation with the Fantasmic package was at 4:30. It wasn't sold out after those times or anything; the reservation woman (so nice by the way) said that they wouldn't allow her to put in reservations after those times. Anyone know what's up with that?

They are probably full, or can only schedule at that time as your order. Saying that because you called at the time slot 10 was open you can have slot 10, and no other. Or all the reservations after that timeare full.

We are going in May, and our Fantasmic Dinner reservations are really early also. I thought it was somewhat strange, but then again, they don't know the park hours or Fantasmic hours this far in advance for June, or at least they are not posted for the general public yet.

I guess while everyone else eats and waits in line, we will play.

If you take those reservation times you will be eating before the general public. This has two benefits. One quieter dining experience. And two, shorter lines while other families try to eat dinner. It all works out in your favor.

I would make them a late lunch. Later in the evening get a snack as you finish up the days in the parks. We usually only eat one big meal at WDW and this stratagey works well for us.

I've given up trying to figure out how these things work and just go with the flow.

As far as Liberty Tree Tavern, as long as there's an open spot, you should be able to get it.

For the Fantasmic package, I'm 99% sure that the only time you can dine for it is between 3 and 5 pm. I'm about 75% sure that the only Fantasmic it's for is for the early performance (if 2).

Good point! We can go on rides while everyone else is trying to eat. It makes sense about it being for the first Fantasmic show too. We've always done the second show with the package, but they must have changed it so it's only the first show. Or maybe they're only having one show that night.

Thanks everyone!
