Dining Reservations Online, 2 adults and a 9 month old baby = 3 for reservation?

At restaurants here at home, they give us a table for 2 adults plus a high-chair, do I need to specify 3 or 2 for Disney restaurants for 2 adults and a 9 month old?

I believe if you are making reservations online it will ask how many adults and how many children. However either way 3 will be your total. As pointed out before the 9 month old still counts for fire safety counts.

I had the exact same question when we booked our trip with an infant earlier this year. From our trip, we learned that they do count the infant in the reservation, so it would be a ressie for 3. (Even though the baby sat in one of our laps during most meals, and didn't eat anything!)

They always want to know the total number of people. Even if the little one doesn't eat they still need to be counted. If they are under three they can even eat off your plate without an additional charge.

They'll also need to know so they can seat you at a table that can accommodate a highchair, rather than a 2-person table that can't.
