Dining Reservations Made - What if # of people change?

Hi All! I have all my dining reservations made and we are close to my trip. There is the possibility that 2 of my 8 people party will not be able to come on our trip and the trip is approaching. If we just keep the reservations as they are, will it be a problem if we show up with 6 people instead of 8? Has this ever happened to anyone (I imagine it has)?

Unless you have some prepaid dining like CRT I would leave it as is and just inform them when you reach the podium. You party would more than likely be set at (2) 4 tops regardless of whether you are are a party of 6 or 8.

Happened to us, wasn't a problem. Went through a week of "uh, we're 2 short today..."

Just leave the number at 8 and tell the CM at the podium 2 people didn't show up. They are very accommodating. In fact in 2005 my DW and I were on our honeymoon. Hurricane Wilma put a damper on our first day, delaying our arrival for several hours. We had ADR for CRT the first night and never made it. We explained everything to a CM at Town Hall in MK. She actually made a reservation for us the next night. SHe had to put us down for a table of 3. She told us to just let them know that 1 person couldn't come. It was no problem.
