Dining Discount Club is fantastic!

I bought a membership in the Dining Club last week and I used it for the 1st time on my trip from Thursday to Sunday. They had my temporary cards waiting for me at the Epcot service window. I used it...alot. I stayed at POP so it was valid in the food court and it saved me a ton of money.We ate at Citrico's on Friday and that meal alone with my wife, sister, bro-in-law, baby and myself the discount was nearly $30. Not bad since the card cost me $50.In 3 weeks I'll be going for another 4 night stay at the OKW resort and we will have a bunch of family with us, every night we have ressies for a high end dinner so this card will save me a fortune! It even saved me at the outer limit lounge at the Contemporary(my favorite watering hole). The fact that it includes liquor is awesome, suddenly the wine choices seem much more reasonable.If you are on the fence like I was jump off and get it.

I have to agree with the advantages of the Disney Dining Experience. I bought it primarily for our 8 day trip this past July, and it more than paid for itself even if we don't make it back within the year. I haven't had a chance yet to add up exactly what I saved, but our dinner at California Grill put us fairly close to the break even point alone.

If you are an annual passholder I would jump on this opportunity as you never know when they might discontinue it.

The formal name is the Disney Dining Experience, you can find the info on Disney's website. It costs $75 to normal people or $50 to passholders. It enables you to receive a 20% discount on food AND liquor at many restaurants throughout the property. If your resort doesn't offer any sit down restaurants it is valid at the food courts and most inside bars. A complete list is furnished. Most sit down restaurants throughout the parks are on the list and you can use your discount for up to 10 people.

My ex-girlfriend and I took my family out, since we both have cards... between the two cards we saved close to $200. Yeah, that card has paid for itself repeatedly. It rocks.

Hmmm... Let's see...

When DH and I went to WDW on the Silver Plan last Feb/March, our average meal price for two people was about $75 (including tip). Our meals included an appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage (way more food than we would have eaten had we not been on the plan). So my guess would be that if you ate like that 8 times over a week long period, and therefore spent $600, your card would have paid for itself.

Yes it will. The discounts are on pretty much every table service restaurant on property as well as the food courts at the value resorts. However I noticed you are from NY and to my knowledge it is only available to Florida residents or AP holders. So if you are an AP holder no worries but if you are not you might want to run the numbers and see how you will make out if you get 1 AP in order to qualify for the card.

We are buying a DDC for our trip in Nov/Dec. We are DVC members so we got the $100 off the AP and will get the DDC for $50. We plan to use it religiously.... :sohappy:

Love the DDE card! It paid for itself by day 3 of our 10 day vacation. If you are eligible, get one. It is good for one year and worth every penny.

I love the DDE card. I used it for my five day trip in July when I decided I needed a trip by myself and it has almost paid for itself in that one trip. I leave in 4 days for a week, so I know it will more than pay for itself then.

Hiya. Actually, it is now available to anyone for the price of $75. You don't have to ba an annual passholder or a resident of Florida. :)
