Digital photo frames

Have any of you come across a good quality digital photo frame? I've been on the lookout for something quality, but most of them seem to be low quality novelty-type devices.

I've noticed the same unless you make one yourself (using something like a raspberry pi as a cpu). I was looking for one a few months ago and just gave up eventually.

yeah it seems really strange that this area of the market never got going, and is now pretty much gone. I want something that has an iPad quality display, but in a form factor and frame that can live out on a piece of furniture.

We looked for one at Christmas for a gift for my mother, and we never found one that we liked. When she stays with us, I just leave the desktop on slideshow for her, so I thought she'd enjoy having a decent size frame.

I think that novelty hit the market and faded away... all low end stuff, I have never seen something that had any type of quality.

I hear ya...I was looking for one for my parents a few years ago and it seemed there was nothing that really stood out as a clear winner for a digital photo frame. It seems now it's better to set up an older iPad that you don't normally use as a digital picture frame that would scroll through photos.

Great spot! That looks good. Great thing with this would be that you could use the iCloud photo streams or Flickr as the source, and obviously have the extremely high quality iPad display. It is a pricey option, but looks to be solid.
