Has anyone used digital camera transfer service to transfer camera memory card data to cd's? Where can you get it done and what is the cost?

We used this service at Animal Kingdom. We had approximately 225 pics put on a CD. This cost was right around $14... I think it is a very good value

I have also heard that some pictures have been lost and damage to digital media. I wouldn't do it....bring enough media or if you have a laptop bring it and transfer the pictures daily.

I went to Walgreen's off Disney. The cost was no more than $3.00 for 130 pictures per disc. I also believe that is by file size too. Less the size the more pictures will fit on the disc. Hope this helps in some way.

You have to be careful with Walgreens though, as they reduced all of the file sizes of my pictures when they copied them to the disk. So if you want to do a 16 x 20 or something with a photo, you need to make sure you leave it at its full size.

All I had to do was tell the gentleman in the photo dept.
that I wanted to keep everything as it was on the digital card. I actually got to view all the pictures before I left Walgreen's. I was never in doubt if I should delete the card at the point.
Thanks for adding the picture size detail on this post. Good advice I forgot to add. Thanks!

I believe there's also a transfer machine in the giftshop at the Contemporary Resort. On the level just below the monorails.

I just bought two additional media cards, so I have more than enough for photo taking and I can leave them back in the room as I finish them. This way I can deal with transfering when I get home, don't have to worry about getting to Walgreen's, being ripped off by Disney or being up all hours at night transferring to my laptop.

I used the transfer service in November for $12. Just make sure you ask for it at the counter and don't use the self serve machine. The machine makes a CD, but you cannot add to it. It will cost you $12 every time you make one. If you have the CM do it for you behind the counter, you can add photos throughout your stay. Everytime you add they display it for you, and you can check to see if all of your pictures are there. It worked wonderfully for me, and held some ridiculously large number of pictures.
