Difference Between Kid/Adult Credits on Dining Plan

My family and I are visiting the last week of September. Of course, we received the free dining plan. This is my first time with my daughter to use the plan as she is 4 now and previously she was under 3 so she was free. Do they break up on your receipt how many child and how many adult credits you have left or is it one large pot?

It will show both types. 3-9 will have to order from the children's menu where available. The adults get the adult menu. The cost of the child's menu is so much less they don't want people to use a child swipe to buy a steak dinner.

HI. YES, YOUR RECEIPT SHOULD BE UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY EVERY TIME YOU ORDER FOOD/SNACKS SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY CREDITS YOU HAVE LEFT FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP.

The credits are broken up between child credits for table service meals, but not for quick service. My two daughters often split an adult quick service meal (the adult chicken nuggets are so much better! :D ) and then we have a quick service credit left for breakfast.

I'd look at the childrens menu online for each place you might want to book an ADR if your child likes variety.
Some Table Services do offer great choices in small portions others offer Mac n Cheese, nuggets or burgers. It does get old. I was disappointed in Yak and Yeti in the past and hope they changed that.

I tried that once and was told by a woman at the Backlot Express that the quick service meals were different for adults and children. I ordered my daughter an adult meal instead of the children's meal and she said she would do it for me this time, but I am not supposed to do that. Children are to order off the children menu. Needless to say I never tried it again. This was 2010, was she wrong or have things changed?

It has never been a problem for us to order adult meals for them, but then again, I never mentioned it was for a child, I just ordered it. We sometimes order a kid's meal (especially if PB & J is on the menu!), but they like the adult chicken nuggets and burgers better than the ones on the kid's menu.

When we went in 2007, my sister had two small children, one was on the DP the other was not. She ordered adult counter service for them and they split the meal. At the end of the vacation, she had so many counter service left that she bought everyone in our party sandwiches for the ride home. At this time, I don't think Disney divides up the CS just the TS. Good luck. Always worth a try to get the most bang for your buck.

They don't keep track separately of adult and child CS credits. But your card will tell the CM how many adults are in your party. If there are only 2 adults and you try to buy more than 2 adult CS meals at a time, there's a good chance a CM will tell you you're violating the DDP rules.

We did it because a friend of mine said the same thing as you. She frequently ordered adult quick service meals for her daughter. I do it once and I get told I am not supposed to. I guess since it says on your ticket how many adults and how many children she saw that, because I sure didn't say anything. I guess I just got someone strick to the rules.

That's what happened to me. It's ok my one daughter is now considered an adult on the meal plan.
