About a year ago I remember following a link from animated movies .net, before it went offline, and found a listing of upcoming computer animated feature films by independent studios. There were things like Delgo, Valiant, and this other weird film that I've never heard of since. I followed its link and there was a full site for this studio, with concept art, news, even a trailer. The movie was about some sort of war in the sky with flying fortresses, airplanes, and such, all in a stylized WWII kind of way. The main character was a boy who gets caught up in the war and apparently trains to fly by strapping Leorardo-style bat wings to his arms and jumping out of planes. I really don't remember much else besides that it looked somewhat violent, but obviously aimed at kids. It wasn't really higly stylized in its art or anything (ie. no big Jimmy Neutron-style heads and no anime eyes), though it wasn't approaching the photorealism of the final fantasy movie. Am I going crazy or does anyone remember hearing anything about this movie, and whether or not it's still in production? I think the production title was "Sky Heroes," or "Air Warriors," or "Sky Fortress" or something.
Oh, it's definitely NOT the Miyazaki film "Castle in the Sky" because I've seen that, AND it's not the upcoming "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" CGI/Live action movie.
