Did they give up on replacing the road signs?

We just got back, and half the road signs are still the old color, while the other half are the newer blue and yellow ones. This seemed like a simple and straightforward project to complete and standardize, yet even the LED screens are still using the old color scheme. Does anyone know if they abandoned this project?

It’s not abandoned. It’s just slow going and was also paused because of district challenges. They made it clear from the initial announcement that the changeover would take years.

The only LED screens using the old color scheme are the ones that are directly adjacent to standard signs that haven’t been replaced yet. The rest are all using the blue color scheme.

Looks like most of western way and victory way have had all their road side signs changed. Interestingly the WDW style road sign that ended up in Celebration at the end of world drive has been removed

I know most of the old purple signs were replaced around Animal Kingdom recently.
