Did Disney discontinue the Walt Disney Treasure DVD Sets?

I have not seen any info if Disney discontinued the Treasure Sets. I was hoping there was going to be a WDW release. If this is the case, maybe something can be done to encourage Disney to release a WDW set. Even if this would be the last one. Disneyland has 2 sets, why can't we have one?

But seriously, they stopped making them after releasing Zorro.

I am aware of that. I just never read anywhere that they were finished producing them. Plenty of things disappear then reappear. One can only hope this is true about the Treasures Collection.

The last wave was Zorro in 2009, since then Disney has discontinued the line. Its two biggest proponents within the company (Roy E. Disney and Dick Cook) are no longer with it and Leonard Maltin has no real say/power on the topic, he's just the host.

The line was dropped as Disney does not like doing niche titles with lower margins anymore. The home video division has become really cheap of late anyway, so the news was hardly a shock.

If you want older, obscure Disney Vault content, you'll have to buy discs from either the Disney Movie Club exclusive or Disney Generations lines from Amazon. Be warned, both are exspensive and almost always use old, beat-up looking home video masters from the 80s and 90s.
