Dessert party concern

Hey everyone.
We've enjoyed the MK dessert parties in the past. The standing option has been terrific for our family of 5. We would arrive on the green 20 minutes before the show an have plenty of space.

I've heard a couple reports of the viewing area being extremely crowded with the new show /party.

Does any one have anything to report? If it's really as crowded as I'm hearing we might cancel our reservation.

Thanks in advance

I would expect it can't be any more crowded than pre-covid as I'd guess the capacity has not increased and not as many people in general are going to Disney and of them not as many are paying extra for a dessert party with viewing area.

Bob Chapek's only concern is for the guest - and ensuring that the guest enjoys the experience being offered. He would never oversell or otherwise create an environment where overcrowding would negatively impact overall guest satisfaction at any Disney function or event.

Thanks for the thoughts and the laughs.

I had read the link below and got a little nervous.
Normally we like the party for the space and not having to claim a spot hours before.
I tend not to panic, it those parties are a lot of money and I didn't want walk into a crummy experience

It wasn't very far in advance of Covid hitting and everything closing that they added the pre and post party options, significantly increasing the number of guests in the viewing area. So a lot of what people remember about the party were from experiences with fewer people. It will be interesting to see how the experience is going forward.

Actually the after fireworks dessert party at MK started in like mid 2018 so WELL BEFORE Covid.
